The Pointe at Polaris

Although VanTrust typically purchases and owns the land it develops, The Pointe at Polaris was a rare joint venture opportunity between VanTrust Real Estate and N.P. Limited. VanTrust approached the landowners, Polaris Centers, in the interest of developing an office building. With its premier location along Interstate-71 in the Polaris submarket, the landowners agreed to a 50/50 partnership with VanTrust to develop a mixed-use project to include office, multifamily, and retail, debuting VanTrust’s first mixed-use project in the Columbus region.

This mixed-use development includes 475 luxury apartment units, 30,000 square feet of street-level retail space, and 215,000 square feet of office space. The office tenants include Bank of America and Anthem. The retail tenants include Condado, Sweetwaters Coffee, and Club Pilates. The office portion of the project offers 100 percent real estate tax abatement for ten years. Construction is complete on both phases with the second phase wrapping up in the spring of 2021 in spite of pandemic conditions and is successfully leasing.
