VanTrust developed the new 207,000-square-foot headquarters building for Freightquote, the country’s largest online logistics provider, in just ten months. The building was constructed with architectural precast concrete, pre-finished metal panels, and three different shades of glass. To encourage collaboration and communication, each floor was designed with an open concept. On the ground level, there is a cafeteria, an outdoor patio, and bike storage. The remaining floors house employee work areas, conference rooms, and “fueling stations” stocked with snacks and beverages.

The building is located on Carondelet Drive, southeast of the intersection of Interstate 435 and State Line Road. It has excellent highway visibility and access. VanTrust, acting as a fee developer, partnered with Opus Design Build and Opus AE, Inc. Freightquote was represented by AREA Real Estate Advisors (f/k/a RED Brokerage, LLC). This project received the 2014 Kansas City Business Journal Capstone Award.
