I've been with VanTrust for more than three years. I enjoy working in the real estate industry, particularly development. I chose VanTrust over other real estate firms because of its reputation, projects, and people. During my interviews, I could tell that the VanTrust employees were dedicated, innovative, and chose projects that had a positive impact on the communities in which they worked. Every member of the team I work with takes ownership of their piece of the puzzle, which makes our group stronger than most. At VanTrust, I wear many hats, from administrative to accounting to information technology, and I love that every day is different! I hope to continue to grow in my career with VanTrust and am excited about our future as a national developer.

Soon, I will be celebrating my 16th year working under the Van Tuyl Companies umbrella, with the last five years being in the VanTrust family. During that time, I grew both personally and professionally as a result of strong mentoring and being surrounded by people with strong work ethics. People are the backbone of any successful business and working for a company that not only preaches but also practices those beliefs on a daily basis is unique. I’m the person I am today because of the relationships I have developed over the years with the people at VanTrust – people who mentor, trust, provide opportunities, and wake up every day with the common goal of rowing the boat together, collectively. I couldn't be more excited to go to work every day for a company that defines itself by its people.

As I’ve watched VanTrust evolve over the years, I’ve learned the mindset is that we want people to join our organization who aren’t just the best at what they do, but who simply are deep down good people. Company-wide, we don’t just function as a team in the office, we enjoy knowing each other on a personal level, whether that is talking about our families, celebrating milestones, sharing hobbies, and spending time together outside of the office. We aren’t just coming to work to do our individual part and walk out the door. Collectively, we function and take pride in our efforts together. We treat each other as valued members of the team and are respectful of each other’s time, opinions, and effort. This camaraderie equates to having successful projects and being good stewards to the Van Tuyl family, who have provided us with this incredible opportunity. I am grateful to come to work every day and be a part of the VanTrust team.
