VanTrust Real Estate, LLC (VanTrust), a full-service commercial real estate development company, has promoted Tyler Chapman to director of development.
VanTrust has a strong presence in major Texas markets such as Dallas-Fort Worth, El Paso, San Antonio, and Austin. Now, the company aims to broaden its reach to other areas within the Texas market. To accomplish this, Chapman, based in VanTrust’s Dallas office, will be responsible for discovering and evaluating development and build-to-suit opportunities in the company’s growing Texas markets.

VanTrust, a full-service real estate development firm, has recently been named the 2023 Developer of the Year by NAIOP. Established in 2010 with a regional focus and national reach, the company has grown into one of the largest privately held commercial real estate companies in the nation. VanTrust primarily develops for the Van Tuyl family, as well as select relationship-based partnerships and select fee-based development services for clients. Chapman joined VanTrust in 2021 as director of development services. In this capacity, he successfully oversaw a range of projects in the industrial and office sectors, including buildings at DalParc 1-20 Logistics, Fort Worth Logistics Hub, El Paso Logistics Park, and Frisco Station. Prior to joining VanTrust, Chapman served as the senior project manager for design-build and integrated project delivery (IPD) projects at The Beck Group. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed a variety of projects, including office, multifamily, institutional and healthcare properties. He has a proven track record of leading projects through the pursuit, design, preconstruction and construction phases.
Chapman is also active in several philanthropic and professional organizations, including NAIOP, Design-Build Institute of America and Lean Construction Institute. Chapman earned his B.S. degree in construction management from Texas A&M University and is an active member at First McKinney Church serving on the McKinney Young Life Executive Committee.
