Construction on Building C, a 526,502 square foot space, will be available for tenant leasing in Q2 2025
JLL has announced that it will handle leasing for VanTrust Real Estate, LLC’s (VanTrust) Building C at the Platte International Commerce Center in Platte City, Missouri. Spanning 526,502 square feet, Building C offers flexible configurations, with options to divide the space down to 130,000 square feet or expand it to approximately 1,100,000 square feet. Earlier this year, the commerce center achieved a milestone with the completion of Building B, its first speculative development, totaling 748,833 square feet. Building B has since been fully leased to Central Power Systems & Services, marking a significant step forward for the center.
JLL Managing Director, Phillip Algrim, and Senior Managing Director, Kevin Wilkerson, are leading the leasing assignment.
“The Kansas City metro area continues to stand out as one of the best locations in the U.S. for supply chain and logistics optimization,” remarked Algrim. “The Platte International Commerce Center is located in the Northland submarket of the Kansas City metro area adjacent to a new world-class airport and transportation infrastructure. It is poised to attract a wide variety of tenants due to the new KCI terminal and the quality Northland labor market. We look forward to welcoming tenants.”
Situated in the Kansas City metro area with immediate access to I-29 and I-435, the distribution center boasts a prime national location. Kansas City is widely recognized as a leading hub for e-commerce businesses, offering the capability to reach most U.S. destinations within two days or less. Additionally, the site provides convenient access to major freight distribution markets within a 12-hour drive, including Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Louisville, Memphis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Omaha, and St. Louis.
“We designed Platte International Commerce Center to serve as a premier distribution hub for companies seeking state-of-the-art facilities near an international airport and with access to the nation’s key freight distribution networks,” stated David Rezac, Vice President of Development at VanTrust. “In collaboration with JLL, we are excited to bring this vision to life, support the growth of the Kansas City metro economy, and ensure our tenants’ success.”

JLL Kansas City Q3 2024 Industrial Report found strong performance in Q3. It noted that the market is poised for continued growth. The amount of space currently under development (3.9 million s.f.), largely pre-leased (85.4%), suggests ongoing confidence in the market’s fundamentals. Factors such as e-commerce growth and Kansas City’s strategic location as a logistics hub are likely to support long-term demand.
