Jeff Dillon
Chief Investment Officer |
Kansas City
Jeff Dillon is the Chief Investment Officer at VanTrust, where he leads the company’s investment strategy and portfolio management. Since joining the company in 2011 as part of the Kansas City development team, Jeff has held several key leadership roles. In 2015, he began overseeing VanTrust’s acquisitions and dispositions. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2022 and, in 2025, transitioned fully into the role of Chief Investment Officer.
As CIO, Jeff is responsible for all aspects of the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, and structuring acquisitions and dispositions. In addition, Jeff provides strategic oversight of VanTrust’s real estate portfolio—managing asset allocation, monitoring performance, and implementing risk management strategies to ensure long-term value creation and alignment with company objectives.
In this role, Jeff manages a team of real estate professionals and promotes a collaborative, high-performing culture. He works cross-functionally to communicate investment strategy and performance to stakeholders, helping to ensure transparency, alignment, and long-term financial success.
His transition from COO to CIO reflects a strategic emphasis on expanding VanTrust’s investment platform and leveraging Jeff’s expertise in capital markets and real estate development across the company’s national footprint.
