VanTrust Real Estate Breaks Ground on Second River Ridge Project

Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Gateway 700 is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2020.

VanTrust Real Estate, a national developer with a regional office in Columbus, recently broke ground on its newest industrial project in the Louisville, Kentucky, market. Gateway 700, a 702,800-square-foot speculative building, has an anticipated completion date of December 2020. Located on River Ridge Parkway and International Drive in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the building will include 72 dock-high doors, two drive-in doors, and a minimum clear height of 40 feet throughout the warehouse. This is the second VanTrust project in the River Ridge Commerce Center. The first, a 592,800 square-foot distribution facility, was completed in 2018, and quickly leased by Ingram Micro. VanTrust also previously developed industrial buildings on Highway 480 and Brooks Hill Road, both in Bullitt County.

“Building on the success of our first venture at River Ridge, we are thrilled to be expanding our footprint with a second industrial warehouse,” said Tyler Ford, manager of development at VanTrust’s Columbus office. “As a rapidly growing area, Louisville is an ideal location for a modern and sophisticated building that will attract new business to the region and contribute to its further economic growth.”

RED Architecture is in charge of the building design. Pepper Construction is the general contractor, and Kevin Grove of CBRE the listing agent. For more information on leasing opportunities, he can be reached at 502.429.6700.

“We are extremely excited that VanTrust is developing a second facility at River Ridge,” said Jerry Acy, executive director of the River Ridge Commerce Center. “VanTrust’s decision to expand its footprint here reinforces the regional and national reputation River Ridge has developed as a preferred site for manufacturing and logistics operations. Pairing VanTrust’s exceptional experience and quality products with River Ridge’s superb location and advantages will make this one of the most sought-after industrial spaces in the nation.”
