Woodend Industrial Building I is located west of the intersection of Woodend Road and Interstate 435 in Edwardsville, Kansas. This 369,000 square foot speculative, cross-docked modern bulk project broke ground in July 2013 and was completed in July 2014. Financing of the Edwardsville space was aided by a 10-year property tax abatement approved by the City. The building features cross-dock loading and 32-foot ceilings. The building is one of two speculative buildings in the now Woodend Industrial Park. Alphabroder, the nation’s leading distributor of imprintable sportswear and accessories, leased the entire building before construction was complete. The lease allowed development of the adjacent 17-acre site, Woodend Building II. VanTrust sold the property in May 2015.
